About Nathan Eshelman
Nathan Eshelman is the pastor of the Los Angeles Reformed Presbyterian Church. Nathan grew up in Western Pennsylvania and came to Christ at the age of 17. He quickly began reading the Puritans and studying his Shorter Catechism. Heaven Taken By Storm by Thomas Watson was the first book he read as a Christian. Soon after his conversion he left Pennsylvania for Grand Rapids, Michigan to pursue a deeper understanding of the Bible and historic reformed theology.
He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA. His doctoral work focused on the relationship between the planting of confessional churches and the doctrine of the mediatorial kingship of Christ. He serves on the RPCNA’s Home Mission Board and Board of Education and Publication.
Nathan is married to Lydia and they have five children (Anna, Owen, Watson, Calvin, Ruth) and two dogs (Sedgwick and Monica).
If he ever releases a CD, the upper-left image will be the album cover. Such is life in Southern California. Just sayin’.
